What skill level do I need to enroll in classes?
  • No prior knowledge is required. We accept students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Every student finds his or her place here, with programs adapted to his or her level.
Do you offer classes for beginners?
  • Yes, we have specific courses for beginners who have no previous musical theoretical knowledge or experience with other instruments.
Who are the instructors and what is their experience?
  • All classes are taught by Rafael Cañizares. His professional work as a guitarist, musician and teacher is backed by more than 45 years of experience.

Course Details


What is the duration of each course or class?
  • Courses are continuous and are divided into semesters, allowing flexibility and constant progress. You can start at any time.
    We offer open enrollment all year round to adapt to your availability.
What types of classes do you offer?
  • Classes of 1:30 hours every two weeks.
    Intensive 2-hour class per month.
What flamenco styles or techniques are taught?
  • All styles. Acquire a basic and practical repertoire for flamenco guitar and learn techniques such as tremolo, rasgueado, slurs.
    In addition, you will become familiar with key flamenco artists and works.
What teaching methodology do you use?
  • Our methodology combines theory and practice, focusing on technique, rhythm, and emotional expression. The objective of the methodology is for the student to acquire a solid foundation.
Do you offer accompaniment classes for singing?
  • Yes, at first we provide classes of accompaniment to the singing with audios, later and once they have the appropriate level, they do it with a professional singer.

Do you offer
additional study materials or resources?
  • We provide comprehensive study materials and online resources to complement your learning, selected by the teacher according to the student’s needs.
What multimedia materials are offered for learning?
  • Students have access to instructional videos, audio recordings and interactive software.
Do I need my own guitar to get started?
  • It is recommended that you have your own guitar but it is not necessary to bring it to the class, we lend you one for your convenience.

Program Structure and Flexibility


What level of dedication is required in the program?
  • For Beginners, Elementary and Basic levels, an average of one hour a day would be fine. If more time is available, the better.
Can students advance at their own pace?
  • Yes, as long as they are consistent in daily practice.

Opportunities and Entry Requirements

Can I study to take the exams for the superior degree in flamenco guitar?
  • Yes, we offer preparation for the higher grade exams in Flamenco Guitar, including classes for the practical repertoire and the necessary theoretical training.
From what age can children enroll in school?
  • Children can start from the age of 13 if they have no previous experience, they can enroll directly in the initial level. However, if they already have experience playing the guitar, they must pass a level test to determine the course best suited to their abilities.
